LTV is one of the most important metrics for understanding customers and helps to make important business decisions about sales, marketing, product development, and customer support. In this talk we will introduce a generalization of retention and show how this can be utilized to predict the LTV more precisely. We conclude with some examples, e.g., using daily customer actions to forecast the LTV based on the first few days using the refined approach.
